At a time when technology wasn't as advanced as it is today, people had a slower form of communication. Now, it is easy for us to e-mail anyone far from us. Then, we used the snail mail which took days, and even weeks to reach the other person. The internet also has other several uses aside from e-mail. People nowadays are very fond of chatting. Like text messaging, this is one quick way to converse with people, near or far. Also, when the mobile phone wasn't yet invented, people used beepers, which again took a longer process, compared to the mobile phone which can receive text messgaes in an instant. When the world knew of no internet and mobile phones yet, people hung onto their beepers and big telephones, and they kept in touch with those in far-flung places through snail mail, which really does suits its name. Now, people have an easy and quick access with one another through the internet, the mobile phone, and of course, the loyal telephone.
